What is a Laundry Love Project?
Laundry Love Projects are opportunities to help people who are struggling financially by assisting them with doing their laundry. Relationships are built, and people become small communities of common concern in which participants often find that they receive assistance and benefit with other areas of their lives.
Who is involved in Laundry Love?
The Youth & Families Coalition is a committee of Promise Partners—Pottawattamie County’s Alliance for Youth. We are a group of non-profits, ministries, business people, and dreamers joined together by a desire to listen to the needs of Council Bluffs and respond accordingly.
How Does It Work?
We provide the quarters and detergent for guests to wash and dry their clothes. We team with a laundromat to find a specific day and time to provide this service. Our committee will finance the effort and ensure that staff/volunteers will be present for the duration of the event.
